Lost in a Wonderland.

This past month has been the craziest in awhile. I have been doing inventory all over the Midwest for my non glamorous job but while I was living out of hotels and eating every fast food junk east of the Mississippi I realized that women in general are powerful. All we need to do is embrace it. Most of my inventory team was made up of men; although their were some women none of them had my aggressive humor. So I guess I was a bit of a rare find. I have a hard time being the sweet giddy girl that the majority of my peers are; maybe its just the way I was hardwired or maybe I have a chemical imbalance but I now have come to appreciate it. All month I got what I wanted without much work at all, and it all came from the ferocity that is me. Every time I snapped my fingers I had chocolates and sweet teas to keep me happy. The men on the team seemed to be attracted to my “confidence” when in all reality its just my attitude. It made me realize as a woman I have the power to run the world if I feel determined. When I realized this one other woman popped into my head and she is the epitome of power and ferocity without even trying. She knows that she is the force behind her career, her husband, and much more. She is a force to be reckoned with; she is the Queen Bey. Beyonce is a woman with a great gift and she uses all she has to be on top. She has had multiple number one hits, a thriving clothing line, a new beautiful baby and an empire to share with her husband. We all watched her during the half time show of the Superbowl and America embraced her as a performer, a mama, a wife and a woman. She has won 17 Grammys and isn’t showing any signs of stopping. All of this could intimidate any human but what I love most about Bey is her love of herself and that flows to others like her husband and baby girl. She is happy with her size and her curves, she is one of the most beautiful women in the world and has been named so. Men love her show stopping curves and how she embraces them. She is a power house that has gotten where she is by working her butt off along with using her fierceness to conquer the world. In my opinion no one can work it like Beyonce. Her style is flawless, her career is booming, her personal life is blossoming and all because she refuses to be unhappy. We as women don’t know the power we have over people. We need to embrace what God has given us and work our way to where we want to be. Men are supposed to be the head of family and everywhere else but we are the neck that turns and guides them. We have a sheer power that no one can take away from us but we need to remember how to embrace it again. Take a look at Beyonce and let her show you how to be unstoppable.
